8-Day Kenya Family Holiday Safari
This tour gives you the best chance to experience wildlife, cultural and scenic diversity in Kenya. Beginning with the Aberdares mountain ranges in central Kenya to the Samburu Game Reserve up north in the semi-arid, dry, rugged and stunning country where rare animal species adapted to this climate are found. The tour proceeds to Lake Nakuru national park in the Great rift valley where bird and wildlife abound and culminates in the world famous Masai Mara.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Nairobi City Day Tours
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our staff who will introduce you to your safari driver guide. After this you will be transferred to Wildebeest Eco Camp in Karen, Nairobi where you will check in and freshen up. You will enjoy an afternoon tour of Karen Blixen museum taking a look at how the author of 'Out of Africa' lived and what inspired her to her world famous novel. Thereafter you will visit the nearby Giraffe Center to see and feed Rothschild Giraffes.
Dinner and overnight at Wildebeest Eco Camp.
Day 2: Mount Kenya
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Mount Kenya region which is found in central part of Kenya. You will check in at Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch. This lodge has a big lush garden and swimming pool. Among activities offered are horse riding, bird watching and nature walks. It borders Aberdare Game Sanctuary with plenty of animals such as giraffes, antelopes and warthogs.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, you will proceed up north to Samburu National Reserve arriving in time for lunch at Ashnil Samburu Camp. After lunch you have time to relax as you watch the mystic Ewaso Nyiro River that is the life line of residents and wildlife alike in this semi-arid part of Kenya meander in front of your eyes. Embark on an evening game drive in search of the rare animal species specially adapted to this semi-arid climate. They include the Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the gerenuk.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve
You will spend a full day in Samburu and get to enjoy a morning and an evening game drive. Just before lunch you will visit a traditional Samburu village to see their culture and inerrant with them. After lunch you can enjoy the camp facilities before the evening game drive.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast you will proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park with stops at the Equator. You will check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Thereafter you can relax before setting off on an evening game drive to see the pink flamingoes and other water birds such as pelicans and hornbills. Look out for rhinos and buffaloes as well as lions.

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast you will depart for Masai Mara National Reserve to arrive at Basecamp Masai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch you have time to freshen up before the evening game drive in search of big cats – lions, leopard, and cheetah among other wildlife.

Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast you will leave with picnic lunch boxes for a full day of game drives in the reserve. Being the peak season of wildebeest migration, you will visit the Mara River where crocodiles laze in the waters awaiting their prey – wildebeest crossing the Mara River. You have good chances to see most of the Big Five – Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino.

Day 8: Masai Mara - Nairobi
You will begin the day with an early morning game drive from 06.30 to 08.00 am. The pre-breakfast game drive gives you good chances to see Big Cats hunting or sharing a kill. You return to the camp for breakfast and leave thereafter towards Nairobi with lunch in a designated restaurant on the way. Your driver will drop you at your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the evening.
