Masai Mara, Kenya

The Masai Mara National Reserve, located in southwestern Kenya, is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations, renowned for its vast savannahs and remarkable biodiversity. Known for the Great Migration, a breathtaking annual spectacle where over two million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles journey across the Mara River, the reserve offers one of nature’s most thrilling displays. Alongside these migratory herds, visitors can witness lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other members of the Big Five, as well as over 450 species of birds.

The best time to visit the Masai Mara is from July to October, during the Great Migration when wildlife concentrations are at their peak. However, the reserve offers excellent game viewing year-round, with unique scenes unfolding across the dramatic landscapes at any time of year.
